JARED MK is a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist crafting emotionally driven songs at the intersection of melody and meaning.

He began his musical journey in the late ’90s, performing hundreds of shows across the East and West Coast — eventually opening for Electric Light Orchestra at a balloon festival in New Jersey. From cafes to college radio, he developed a sound that earned sync placements on MTV/Viacom series like Pretty Little Liars, True Life, Engaged and Underage, and others. In 2008, Jared transitioned to a decade-long career as an award-winning copywriter for brands like Adobe, Microsoft, HP, and T-Mobile, followed by five years as a professional photographer.

Following the industry shifts of 2020, Jared navigated years of physical labor and career transitions. A 2025 motorcycle accident became a definitive turning point; facing a long recovery, he certified as a Peer Wellness Specialist, only to have a hard-won job offer rescinded for "lack of experience." In that moment, Jared reached a breaking point and realized the music he had been writing to navigate his own recovery was the most powerful, honest work of his life.

In December 2025, Jared pivoted entirely, committing to a song-a-day practice for the duration of 2026. By applying the discipline of a world-class copywriter to the heart of a lifelong songwriter, he is currently building a deep catalog of work grounded in melodic strength — betting on his craft to see where the chips fall by year’s end.

Based just outside Portland, Oregon, he is currently open to select collaborations with artists, publishers, and co-writers who share his vision for creative, high-quality songwriting.
